This project scope included converting an airport warehouse into a fully operating 50,000 square foot commercial kitchen facility. The warehouse’s main features include; a state-of-the-art CaptiveAire, 52 foot hood system and equipment line, two 49 foot Hobart steam dishwashers, a 6,500 square foot walk-in freezer, various walk-in coolers, sixteen new roof top units, two 40 yard trash compactors, Massport fire suppression and alarm systems, sixteen loading docks, a conference room, and several offices. The hood system included a newly designed mist suppression system and fully automated computerized EMS system never before installed in MA. This was a joint project between Massachusetts Port Authority and Gate Gourmet, the second largest supplier of airline food.
